Clearday Privacy Policy

Clearday is published by the sole proprietorship Semen Viushkov PR Ostale usluge informacione tehnologije Beograd, Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 10D, floor 1, Belgrade, Serbia, registration number (MB) 67243897 ("qikdev", "we").

All data Clearday works with is stored locally in your browser's extension storage on your device. We do not operate servers for the extension, there is no account or sign-in, and no data is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

If you use Chrome's own profile sync, your extension settings may be synced by Google under Google's privacy policy; statistics are never included in sync.

Screen time: the domain of the active tab and the time it is in the foreground, plus background audio time, tab switches and visit counts. Full URLs, page titles and page content are not stored — only the site name (for example, youtube.com).

Privacy audits, only after you enable each widget: which sites you granted camera, microphone, location or notification access; the number and names of cookies and which of them match a built-in list of known trackers; the list of installed extensions and the permissions they declare; five of Chrome's privacy settings.

Your preferences: name for the greeting, theme, layout, site categories you assigned, sites you asked Clearday to forget.

Sites you mark as forgotten are excluded from tracking entirely.

Granted at install: tabs, idle and alarms (to measure time on the active tab and pause when you are away), storage (to keep data locally), topSites and favicon (quick access icons), search (to send your query to your default search engine).

Requested only when you enable a widget, with Chrome's own permission dialog: contentSettings (site permissions audit and one-click revoke), cookies and access to all sites (cookie and tracker counting, deleting tracker cookies), privacy (reading and fixing browser privacy settings), management (extensions audit, disabling by your action), history and browsingData (the “Forget this site” action, which deletes a site from Chrome history and clears its cookies at your request).

You can withdraw any optional permission at any time from the widget itself; Clearday then deletes the cached results of that widget.

Clearday makes no network requests to process your data. Favicons are read from Chrome's local cache. The optional Weather widget, only after you enable it and type a city, requests the forecast for that city from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com); the request contains the city coordinates and nothing about you.

Partner cards: the extension shows recommendations of privacy tools from a file bundled with the extension. Nothing is loaded from partners and nothing about you is sent to them. If you click a card, the partner site opens in a new tab and their own privacy policy applies; the link may contain an affiliate code that identifies qikdev, not you. Clicks are counted only locally, on your device.

In a future version the list of partner cards may be downloaded from qikdev.com once a day. That request will carry no identifiers, cookies or usage data.

Daily statistics are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Audit results are refreshed and overwritten when you open the new tab.

You can erase everything at any time in the extension settings (“Erase all data”). Uninstalling the extension removes all of its data from the browser.

“Forget this site” removes a site from Clearday's statistics and, if you granted the permissions, from your Chrome history together with its cookies. Deleted history cannot be restored.

We do not collect, sell, rent or share personal data. We do not use analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs in the extension. We do not build profiles, and we cannot see your browsing because it never leaves your device.

Clearday is not directed at children under 16.

Because your data never reaches us, access, correction and deletion are entirely in your hands through the extension itself. If you still have a request or a question under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (ZZPL) or the GDPR, write to [email protected].
